Trainer Sheryl Johnson takes you through every phase of using iMIS. Sheryl had been using iMIS for 8 years before coming to BSCI as a consultant in early 2010, providing training and support to iMIS users. She has an Associate degree (with high honors) from College of DuPage in Computer Info Systems, and a Bachelor of Science (with honors) in Business Management from Elmhurst College. Module 1 - Customer Relation Management for Full and Casual Users

  • Introduction (4 minutes, 12.3 seconds)
    In this introductory lesson, you will learn ways to use iMIS as a full Customer Relationship Management System. How to log in to iMIS and the parts of the Customer Profile Window and how it can be used to maitain name, address and demographic data, look up history, and virtually all customer-specific operations from one window.

  • Lesson 1 - Searching for Customer Records (7 minutes, 54.3 seconds)
    In this lesson you will learn ways to find customers in your database using Find, wild cards, ad-hoc search and IQA (Intelligent Query Architect).

  • Lesson 2 - Command Buttons (1 Minute, 44.5 seconds)
    This lesson will cover all of the command buttons on the Customer Management window and how and when to use them.

  • Lesson 3 - The Address Window(2 Minutes, 51.3 seconds)
    The address window consists of the Address Type Tab, Address, Preferred Option, Phone, Fax and Email, Status, Mail Code. This lesson covers each as well as how to add additional address tabs.

  • Lesson 4 - The Finance Window (3 Minutes, 19.8 seconds)
    This lesson breaks down the Finance Window on the Demographics area and explains what each field is for.

  • Lesson 5 - The Notes Window (2 Minutes, 25.4 seconds)
    In this lesson, you will learn ways to use the Notes field in the customer record, and how to add additional notes.

  • Lesson 6 - Creating a New Customer Record (5 Minutes, 57.3 seconds)
    In this lesson you will learn how to create a new customer record.

  • Lesson 7 - Creating a New Company Record (4 Minutes, 45.8 seconds)
    In this lesson, you will learn to create a company record, learn how to add to the company roster, and cap it all off with a lab. (Recommended: Use a test copy of your database for lab work.)

Module 2 - The Activities Window

    In this introductory lesson, you will learn ways to use the activities section of a member's record to do just about any kind of customer maintenance, including dues billing, meeting registration, tracking calls, etc.

  • Lesson 1 - Activities (5 Minutes, 32.3 Seconds)
    In this lesson, you will learn how to create an activity record.

  • Lesson 2 - Events History (3 Minutes, 31.7 Seconds)
    This lesson will show you how to look up a meeting registration from a customer record, enter a registration, and look at old history from closed meetings.

  • Lesson 3 - Billing History (7 Minutes, 52.3 Seconds)
    This lesson will show you how to view dues billing, both current and history, add a new dues record, create a dues invoice, and enter a dues payment for an individual.

  • Lesson 4 - AR/Cash History (3 Minutes, 40 Seconds)
    In this lesson you will learn to view financial transactions/history, view aging, generate a statement of account, and print a trial balance. There is a lab at the end. (Recommended: Use a test copy of your database for lab work.)
